ESTIMATOR + PROJECT MANAGER
Jay Gooden has been a journeyman electrician for 23 years and a leading estimator for Tri State Electric
for the past 7 years. Because of Jay’s experience working in the industry, he lends to the job not only a full
understanding of electrical requirements but also alternatives to the job that create efficiencies and cost
savings.
Jay has been the estimator and project manager for several large projects over the years which include the VA
Hospital, several school constructions, large retail facilities such as the new Harley Davidson, and numerous
other projects. Jay has been the project manager for six LEEDS projects and all have been successful in
acquiring their certification.
Jay has been an officer in Local #291 electrical union for the past 18 years and served as president for 6 years.
As a result, Jay has an excellent rapport with the union labor force and a full understanding of the process of
bringing in additional labor.
